Edges drawing required

Post by SovietBear »

hi guys

due to some reasons i am going to make Steel Edges by my own.

could anyone share with technical details of Edges, please?

first of all i am interested in material, SAE or UNS designation of stainless steel.

and most important is drawing with exact sizes. All i could find is a US Patent wich describes construction only in general.

looking forward for any information.

Overall width (including the teeth) - 0.300"

Width of just the edge bit (not including teeth) - 0.090"

Height of edge - 0.076"

Thickness of teeth - 0.025"

The shape/size of the teeth (as viewed from the top) has varied between edges I've gotten from SkiBuilders.com, and SnowboardMaterials.com but the cross sectional measurements are the same.

Made a rough sketch for you...
