Has anyone ever had issues with wood cores expanding/contracting or does anyone know the science behind this? Even kiln dried wood will natural expand and shrink with the season and with heat and moisture. Additionally does Epoxy when cured allow for any expansion/contraction? Or is it brittle when ...

I've been making solid wood skis and sealing them with a product called WATERLOX. It is some sort of Tung Oil mix that hardens nicely.
