Splitboard from my workshop WoodTony Craft Boards. Length 159 cm
Nose-waist-tail 311-266-302 mm
Sidecut radius 8.3 meters
Biaxial carbon fiber (i.e. the fiber in 2 layers at an angle of 45 degrees to each other)
Camber with early rocker in the nose (about 40 cm)
Aspen core with ash stripes
Weight 3050 gram
3 additional contact points on the edge. The points are not the same. The first point (opposite the front binding - the smallest) - gives additional grip, but does not complicate turning into a turn.
The second point (opposite the waist) is more pronounced
The third point (opposite the rear binding) is maximally pronounced for stable turning and finishing.
Topsheet is a natural Black Ofram veneer (this species is widespread in West Africa from Sierra Leone to Cameroon), coated with matte varnish.

Wow - these Skis look really really nice! Did you design the topsheet yourself?

Thank you, pmg:) The design was initially created by a neural network. The customer gave the neural network data about the picture he wanted to see. She generated images for him. And only then a professional designer assembled the final layout. So I’m not involved in the design, unfortunately :) I like it too :)

Hi,
I must say I am impressed with the skis and snowboards you have made. Really!
May I ask what program you use to design the snowboards and skis?
Do you still use furniture nuts or do you buy inserts?
And what type of plastic do you use for side walls?
Greeting

Hi FredK!

Sorry for taking so long to respond. Haven't been here on the forum for a long time.
Thank you, I'm glad you like my snowboards and skis:)
I use snowboard inserts, I order them from China. When ordering 1500 nuts it comes out to about $0.45. Furniture insert is a pretty good, cheap and working solution, but it looks ugly:)
For sidewalls I use liquid polyurethane. I live in Russia, the most accessible polyurethane here is Silagerm with a hardness of 90-95 Shore. It is quite thick, so air bubbles form in it. In some boards more, in some less. And I do not yet know how to completely solve this problem.
