Natural Wood Look
What is the best way to get that nice natural wood look to show underneath a clear topsheet?

Probably 95% of first-builds people do on here use clear top sheets, so you can see how things turned out inside the ski. The fiberglass goes mostly clear, you'll see the wood.
If you want crystal clear, do a veneer, and if you want, a clear top sheet over the veneer. I did that with some bamboo veneer and it turned out great.

like i said, start reading every single thread on here! or at least use google search with "site:skibuilders.com" as a filter.khutch5 wrote:I'm planning on putting a second layer of fiberglass between the core and topsheet so that won't work
the info is all in here.
a second layer of fiberglass will turn translucent as well!
