oversize portable bandsaw?

Post by strangesnowboarding »

http://www.timbertools.com/Products/HEM ... -wood.html

found one locally for pretty cheap, might be a solid choice to resaw cores out?
has anyone used anything like this before, having a portable mill could be key.

i think it would need a fence or custom set of attachments to get it done right, but i feel like it could work horizontal, vertical, in whatever direction.
maybe like a more expensive but accurate version of 333's chainsaw profiler?
he had that really custom horizontal bandsaw thing last year.

possibilities or a waste?

That was a new one! I've never seen one of those before.
I think you will have difficulties making a straight cut.
Isn't it a little expensive?
I vote fore waste.
Look for a big bandsaw instead. Mine is alright for ski cores, but I shoudn't hesitate to get a bigger one.
Check my journal.

I don't think that would work. I think the decimal point is in the wrong place for the price, $3690.00?? I check some of their other tools/prices. Really expensive!
