Does the fiberglass have to be one long piece?

Post by esscher »

I am curious whether the fiberglass has to be one long piece that spreads the length of the board, or can it be two pieces end to end?

If it were fine to lay them end to end, I could save a lot of money on fiberglass.

Hi esscher.

I dont think It would affect the performance to much. I would definitely overlap the pieces by 2 or 3 cms or more though.

I have two short pieces of glass on more than one ski. Normally overlapped it where the binding area was to strengthen that area.
