Post by Noza »

Hi All,

Just wondering how every on prebends their tips and tails of the base with edge on, to suit the mould, before lay up?

Hi Noza,

I've used a large PVC pipe (~6" diameter) like others on this site. I've also pre-bent by hand.

prebending tip and tail

Yes, I like to prebend. It was just a normal way me to do things, as I own a sheet metal shop, with rollers that make it way to easy. You do not need heavy 2 inch rollers though. You can do a great job with the low cost 1 inch rollers available through the discount tool catalogs like Harbor Freight etc. Good Luck
