yes it was a fun day.
These skis and the ones and the ones MaRuMo have built (same shape jst shorter) are made from Recycled Pallets, similar to Kam's Project Pallet. Wood is unknown, but probably pine for the most part.
Core thickness is 3mm throughout the tip. 11mm max thickness and back to 3mm for the tail. No Plateau for bindings just a triangle core profile.
Layup is 400gsm UD and 350gsm (I think) Biax layers above and below the core.
Ptex2000 and 2mm edges. Vds rubber on the edges.
Core profiling was done with a thickness planer, so much easier than the router method. Our crib was two planks of chipboard with shims wedged between them. (pics soon)
Pressing by vacuum bag. Core tips and masonite layup board were pre bent.
