I know what you’re thinking “who is this guy?” I was once a prolific ski builder, frequent poster on these forums… but I’ve been away from the hobby for over a decade. I decided I’m going to dust off the ski press and make a new pair, but some of my old materials suppliers don’t seem to exist anymore.
Where are all of you getting materials these days?
Kelvin (blankslateskis.com) was one of my regulars, especially for magnet capped binding inserts and foam core blanks. My emails to blank slate or his other Maiden Skis have all bounced back. I was really hoping to do foam cores for this new build, the cores I bought from Kelvin a decade ago made for some amazing skis.
I used to get top sheets from Vince at Miller Studios here in Washington, but I see he closed up shop a few years ago. I used Lindsey at SnowboardMaterials.com a few times, as well as Coda. Are folks still using them? Any other vendors doing sublimated top sheets?
I’m good for fiberglass, carbon, and epoxy, and I even have an old roll of VDS. I just need magnet capped inserts, base, edges, sidewalls, tip spacers, sublimated top sheet, and probably most difficult to find… foam core blanks.
I’m thrilled to see this forum still fairly active, I’m glad the hobby is thriving. I’m just striking out a bit finding material vendors.

Great to have you back! Being located in Europe, I cannot really help you with sourcing materials in the US, but you could try the Snowboard Builders Group over on Facebook here https://www.facebook.com/groups/snowboardbuilders. It's more active than the forum, so you'll increase your chances

PS: Sandwichtechskis sells everything you need except for the cores (inserts and magnetic caps are sold separately https://sandwichtechskis.com/inserts-and-caps.html)
As for the core material, I believe that the stuff you were using is probably ISOSPORT's ISOCORE material https://www.isosport.com/en/categories/isocore. You could try contacting ISOSPORT to see if they have anyone in the US selling them.

Thanks Chris! I think you’re right about the ISOCORE, I’ll reach out to them.
Nice to see you still on here!

Wow!! Nice to see you back on here Twizz.
For sure some of the old suppliers have gone on. As
Mentioned sandwich tech is a good option.

It's good to be back!
Some updates:
I got in touch with Kelvin, he's still selling materials through BlankSlateSkis.com (including the foam cores that I wanted, what a relief). He said he's had issues with his email through his website, but he's still selling.
I also got in touch with Lindsay at SnowboardMaterials.com, he's got a few things on hand but he is closing up shop in just a few weeks to move on to a new venture.
Coda is still sublimating topsheets.
I ordered a few things from SandwichTech as well.
I think at this point I've got everything I need on order, I just need to get topsheet artwork nailed down so I can get that ordered. I've got a whole list of things I need to do/make before I'm ready to press. A topic for another thread, another day.

I am looking at getting back into this realm as well as my production model is increasing in price the way I am going about things.
Just learned Donek has some supplies available.
https://supply.donek.com/
At double the price of CODA on the sublimation however. Wonder how they compare side to side.
Looking forward to the new builds!
