What router bit to use

So I'm going to be using the 4x8 CNC router table at a local machine shop co-op to thickness profile my skis. Since I'm going to be using bamboo as my core what type of bit will I need. I assume carbide, but is there a bit style that will work well for using bamboo flooring as the starting core.

Was looking to get 5-10 3'x6.25' core planks done in one session.

I use an Amana 1.5" straight flute bit, the same one Mike suggests on his Wiki page.

Works great with bamboo, and UHMW sidewalls.

Thanks for the info. Wasn't sure how it would hold up to the bamboo.

I see his rpm setting, but what kind of feed rates do you normally run for profiling the cores

I do 75ipm, which is as fast as I ever run my y-axis (which is ballscrew-driven)
