Can anyone offer some advice when drilling insert holes into my snowboard core.
Im having problems with the wood being chewed up. The holes are 2cm apart but the wood in between keeps disintegrating!
Any advice would be great!

2cm apart and it's breaking? What the heck are you drilling it with? What kind of wood?
Before I had my CNC do it, I'd use a 3/4" forstner bit.

hmm... are you drilling a pilot hole first? 10mm is pretty big to drill on its own

I use a 10mm wood drill bit too, a cheap one from ebay as it's pretty tough to find metric bits around here... it was OK but the bit quickly became dull, thus providing a worse finish than before.
Thru pilot hole (1/16"), then counterbode with 3/4" Forstner bit, then the 10mm hole (half depth from bottom, then through the whole core from top)
A bad day skiing is always better than a good one at work...

Pine does splinter easily when drilled, especially on the exit hole.
