I'm experimenting using regular wood glue on the back of the paper instead of paint. I got the idea from a friend building model planes. :-) It seals the layer upwards and makes a good bond. I haven't build any ski with it yet, only samples. Looks alright But maybe it's the same as regular paint...

how do you spread the glue and how many coats do you apply?

With a roller one time, but as said very early in the testing, but it did seal the paper good!

i just bought a bottle of wood glue...time to do some testing :)
