I think I have changed my mind, and am going to go with a diaphram. The diaphram will be constructed with flat rubber. It will make up the "roof" of the press box, and depending on which form I am using for the female section of the press (no male), there will be spacers inside the box to locate the layup riiiiight next to the diaphram, so it doesn't have to stretch too far.

I hope to be able to convince my welding guy who happens to be my father as well, to weld the box together. He tells me I don't have enough steel to contain all the pressure, but I disagree. We shall see though. More info coming soon, with pics, and maybe some video.

Where are you located? I'm going with 3/8 steel meant for a pressure vessel.. I'm overbuilding so I don't have something unfun happen...
