Having the coating on the wires for a heat blanket melt and short out when contact made with the aluminum. Fortunately I had installed fuses so was left with just the top blanket for the rest of the press. So I recommend either leave the wired portion of the heat blanket out of the way of heat and pressure or tape the wires. I had left 2cm of wire between the aluminum and after a while it popped with a nice white 240v spark.

Where is the fun in flushing your money down the toilet, Oh! it is so much more fun wasting it making snowboards that are a complete failure- I guess flushing it once in Australia to see if it actually goes the other way.
