All carbon
Im about to build skis whit carbon sheets insted of fiberglas, is there any major cons exept for the price? I normaly use 22oz/600gr fiberglas, when carbon is so much stiffer is 5-6oz stiff enough to only use one layer ane above one under.

psycosow, you will have to do more research here as there are several people who have built skis and boards with carbon.
and how could you possibly use 1 layer? do you have access to triaxial carbon?
would you ever think that 5oz of composite would be enough to back up a ski?

So in other words 2Layers, one above and one under isnt enough? no matter what kind of ski it is?

Whats your major malfunktion? I only came here for some answers, and this is the respons? I was reading a post about carbonfiber vs fiberglas seconds ago, that stopt whit this exact question! It was a probably a question that has been covered at nauseum or even in the thread and is dependent on many factors non of which you list. If you have a specific question fine but yours is poorly formulated and vague at best. There are dozens of threads on here about this.
You have to go back and read and search and formulate more specific details if you want help from anyone.

0 degree? a triaxial? a quadaxial?
The answer is no, you will not be able to use just 1 piece top and bottom unless you want a shitty ski or you will have to find triaxial or quadriaxial carbon in which you will have to order a substantial amount.
What is your application?
Do you plan to meadow ski 20 degree hills or are you lift served and hiking?
Are you planning on completing the haute route?
Are you a midget?
Sure you can take a 2 x 4 and laminate it with 5 oz uni carbon and slide down the hill. do what you want but please read and search.
There is like 12 threads on here about bandsaw and jigsaw blades.

Thank you. Lets start from the beginning, why i think this can work is because its gonna be a light randonne type mountainering ski.
180cm 116-88-110 full length camber.
Before this build i have as i mentioned earlier only used 22oz tri fb, im NOT about to use that heavy shit in a climbing/mixed type of mountainering type of ski.
The core of the ski is made of paulownia and two 15mm strings of maple running down the middle. Its gonna be all cap, vacuum made whit heat.
Now you have the facts.
About the reading part, i live in the mountains far far north up in norway. When i dont ski or work, i read about different woods/fibers/resins and other materials as much as i can. But i only find people whit big fat skis trying to make them lighter, not people whit light randonne/touring type of skis.

The right ones are made of 30%paulownia, 30%poplar, 30%ash, cedar sidewalls and 600g/m² Quad CF. = 1600g/ski
Could be thinner for randonee purpose, but anyway pretty light!
If you haven't worked with CF before, be prepared for some differences compared with FG. The biggest I now is the epoxy consumption.

600gr cf, stiff ride?
Not really. Beware that the paowlonia has no or very little mechanical properites. Just for fill and weight reduction.
Read the other threads/post about CF behaviours regarding pressing with heat. CF over AND under core. CF over OR under core. There are numerous theories around those specs.
CF also leads electricity(true). So if you ski very fast you could actually charge you GoPro helmet cam with the static el. generated from the laminate!
