Wintersteiger ski tuner double belt and side edger (in CO)
All,
I came across a Wintersteiger ski tuner; double belt and side edger in Palmer Lake CO (North side of Colorado Springs). The belt grinder has been in storage for 3 years, but was working when taken out of service.
Not wide enough for snowboards. Weighs about 450 lbs, so bring an engine hoist or 2-3 friends to move it.
Asking $300 !!!
Call Tim 719-459-3639
He'd like to get it moved ASAP.
See the Colorado Springs Craigs List. Go to the tools section and type in "Ski" (I can't post the URL yet)
I am not selling this, Tim is; so please call him.

Not as much an issue as you might think. If you buy a motor with the same frame, they pretty much are a direct swap.
Phase converters are even easier and not too expensive. Grizzly has a 3.5HP to 7 HP phase converter (240V 1PH to 240V 3PH) for under $220.

"For heavy-loads, high duty-cycles, or applications with digital controls, only use a Rotary Phase Converter (see items G5844, G5845, G7978, G7979, H3741, H3742). Made in the U.S.A."
they state that cheap phase converter is only good for 15 min cycles.
Granted I dont recall ever running my grinder for 15min intervals, but its nice to know ya can.
