That gave me an idea for you skier guys.

He says that they test their skis too make sure each ski is the same flex. How about an assymetric flex? I know that everyone has a strong leg. In surfing and snowboarding it's goofy foot (right foot) or regular foot (left foot). I wonder if it would actually be beneficial to have the ski on your less dominant foot have a softer flex?

Could be a great idea!
But before you can do it you need a name for it.

And by line, they mean K2 right? :). There's even big K2 logos in the background. That's all the stuff I did when I worked there for a summer back in school, when they were still on vashon. I miss that job.

Interesting idea DBS, but then your non-dominant leg would compensate and get stronger until it became the dominant leg, but then you could just swap the skis. Maybe have a little meter that tells you when it's time to swap, like a Britta water filter?

I thought the dominant leg always stayed dominant. Hence, natural vs. unnatural spins in free skiing. I don't think it has anything to do with muscle strength, as much as it has to do with being able to physically control the leg. IDK though. I've never skied.

In board sports there is no correlation between handedness and footedness. Left or right handed, left or right footed, no consistent link between one and the other. Regular / Goofy is pretty much split 50/50 while right handedness is obviously significantly dominant (I think about 90%).

left footed, right handed here too. I find it essential to building skis :)

What are you guys doing with your left foot? That you can say you're leftfooted?
Do you play soccer?

Run and slide. Whichever foot you naturally put forward is your dominant foot.
