The IQ slider system is the best binding system I have seen (love it). You can mount any binding to the ski with one bolt. You only need one insert in the ski and no stringers or mat glass for retaining screws. You mount the binding to a thin binding plate that gets slid into a groove in the ski and then bolted with the single bolt. You have have as many of the plates as you want for a variety of bindings. I really want to use this system but am puzzled by how the press the ski. The topsheet forms around the overhangs of the track. Any ideas of how they do it or how we could fake it?
how does Blizzard do it?

i saw something at 1:17 in the second video that made me thinking about it: "SANDWICH COMPUND SIDEWALL TITANIUM".
i think they re shaping the titanal cap 3D to form the "IQ track", and wrap it with fibres/prepregs etc to increase stability.
this forms the topsheet of the ski being pressed on top. the top mould, of course need cut-outs in those 3D areas
