Leaving an imprint

Post by JackJack »

As a subtle way of applying graphics has anyone tried leaving an imprint in the top of the ski during pressing?

I would have thought it would be fairly easy to add a simple logo or some lettering this way?

very easy to do. A lot of companies were doing that in the late 90's / early 00's.

It doesn't take much to leave an imprint. Thin construction paper will do the job.

Rad Air Tankers used to have a pretty cool design imprinted on their decks. The issue of course is that you're increasing the pressure on the glass in those areas, but it's not a big deal.

I was thinking of this idea as well. K2 does it with the seths right now.

Anyone done this recently? I'm curious as hell.

Also, there's an effect where a shape or logo is made matte on a glossy topsheet, (or vice versa). It's pretty subtle. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get that effect? Maybe use a textured template?

Texture ... application tape has been giving me different textures, depending on the pattern. Have been finding it difficult to remove once pressed, so my local supply won't work.

The red film on this page http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Paintin ... 258/p91318 might work. Suspect it is PE. It sticks well, I guess a pattern could be put behind it?
