edge bend question to headmonkey

Post by cmaucksch »

hello,

I have been reading for quite some time here in the forum and it has often helped me, thanks to all.
I bought the same ring roller, I have seen on the Happy monkey page. Can anybody tell me how to modify it?

unfortunately, as it is my first post, i am not allowed to post URL or pictures. Pictures can be found at happy monkey snowboars inc website.

thanks in advance

I would imagine it's just a groove cut in with a Dremmel tool and as abrasive wheel to accommodate the wings on the edge. I'm planning on the same thing when I go to buy it.

Hello,

on happy monkey Snowboard site it looks like he modified the ring roller with some shims. By now I took the Dremmel, results can be seen at my homepage: fimbulski dot wordpress dot com, it works

Ya know I was going to come in here and say how this needs to be done on a lathe to be done right, blah blah. But that actually looks great, those bends are perfectly smooth and flat. Nice work! So this roller (now edge bender) is adjustable, yes? Looks great!

I especially love the dremel-in-the-clamp-in-the-vise. :)

really nice looking skis. What veneer did you use on the multi-colored grain pair?
