i think using the blanket on top is how most people do it.
you could also build an insulated box to place your press in. we've built such a box to cure our polyurethane resin sidewalls.
it's basically two boxes with some fire retardant insulation in between and some spare parts from an old convection oven (heater, fan and the motor for the fan).
heats up to 100°C in about half an hour :)
