Cattrack Design

Post by BigSkySki »

I don't know how many of you have watched the videos on the boardcrafters.com web site but he has a cattrack made of what looks like 3/4 inch wood set up in the way aluminum tubes would be, stapled to a sheet of aluminum screen material. When he is ready to press he just rolls it out onto the mold. He uses a vacuum press but do you think this design would work for a pneumatic press as well?

yep
others have used wood and often a webbing stapled to the top of the cattrack pieces (a bit like the slats in a slat bed base).
Probably I would still want to suspend the cat track rather than roll it out every time because getting it all into the press would be a hassle.
