Nice!!! Great to see you finally pressing with the Vacu-Master 3000 after all that hard work. Looks like it works great.

Do you put your VDS above the fiberglass? (not on the edges?). Love the graphics!

(your posts always make me want to visit Sweden... I tell people I'm Swedish, and I even have a Swedish flag on my car because my family is all Swedish a few generations back... but I've still never been there :( )

Thanks! Yeah it works super-well! It's very easy to work now and do the lay-up right in the press!
The VDS is on the edges. The lowest fiberglass layer is "inside/between" the edges and not on.
@Twizz: So your parents are swedish?

Well you got it all!?
I talked with my collegues in Manchester today. And it was snowing (heavily?) there!

Well we get some soon...it just covers the ground for the moment. It's very cold though!

Yep, our winters have changed :D We're European! Not many hills on my doorstep, but there are a few ski clubs in the Lake District. I might well end up in Scotland soon enough.

More pictures coming soon?

Sadly, no :( I used to know a few phrases from my grandma when I was a very little boy, but I've forgotten all of it.

Var so gut? Gut jule? Those seem familiar.

Pretty close! :)
Phrases that's coming up:
God jul = Merry christmas
Gott nytt år = Happy New Year

Swedish is a strange language. Although it somewhat origin from german and english it's still a very small language. It's all about how many that speaks a language.

You're welcome if you plan any visit!
I thought I was traveling to US in business this fall, but it didn't happen. I now hope for a travel in the spring.

@Rich: More picture to come when I have made the cut out. They are now in the famous post cure phase.

Excellent job! How's the flex on them? I have 2 cores that are about 9.5mm, (lengths are short though 152cm for my daughters) they look pretty thin. I was thinking of adding a extra layer of triax in the binding area.

ANYWAY GREAT JOB!

btw- Nice clean shop. Spent 2 hrs last night cleaning mine,... :(

Nice one!
Good to see you and your printer are fully operating again :)
Just wondering what those ripples (?) on the top are. Just epoxy on the paper? Or did you put a regular topsheet on?

looks nice.

The rocker may have been caused by unequal layers of reinforcements.

Thanks!

Yes, I have that feeling too. I have to get some other glass for the next pairs. I have this endless roll of triax. I haven't really checked the quality of it. It was cheap and a good start. I will gear up on the quality.
The core is prime cut!

@Chris: Yes, The "ripples" are the topsheet wrinkled...an unwanted effect. I used white paste in the top layer epoxi, to cover the transparency. I think I know how to avoid it for the next pair. Either with a plastic topsheet or an extra layer of thin FG.

@Skidesmond: The flex feels alright. I haven't cut them out yet. And when I took them out of the press, I cut myself.. :x So one finger is in bandage for a couple of days. The shop isn't that clean. You only see one angle of it in the picture...good for me. ;) I will post the "tour-of-the-workshop" pictures later.

What doughboy was referring to was the fact that you used two layers on the bottom and one layer on top. This will cause camber changes as the top and bottom expand/contract differently with heat. Did you heat them at all when curing?
