Venturi Vaccum bagging

Post by Breakwater »

Hi
I have a Venturi Vaccum bagging system, which I use for making moulds of Model R/C sailboats.

I poked at the website here, and Thought I'd ask one of you if it's possible to make a pair of skis using the vaccum bag.

I ask, because it looks like most people are using some form of a press.

Any additional information on the vaccum process, if it could be done would be awesome

thanks!

There is tons of information on vac bagging in this forum. The search function works pretty well. But yes, you can bag a ski or snowboard.

Vacuum works pretty darn good.
I don't know about trying to put the whole ski and mold etc into a bag though.
Its been done but using sealing tape to vacuum to your mold or to your table is quite a bit easier.
Use the search function you'll find lots!

You don't even have a legit signature, nothing to reveal who you are and what you do...

Best of luck to you. (uneva)

might be a 50/50 split on vacuum vs pneumatic on the forum posts these days.
Maybe we make a poll?
What do you use?
Leave the clampers out, or just have an 'Other' category.
