Planer Sparks?
I recently started using bamboo sidewalls and have been noticing sparks coming from the bamboo areas which i find really strange. Anyone else have this issue? using a planer jig to profile my cores. The blades seem to be fine when examining them and don't appear to be contacting anything.
Bamboo is pretty hard so it might be just friction?
The floorboards use a laquer conatining aluminium. I don't know what type of glue they use to laminate them. It might be possible that the glue holding what I assume is a laminated bamboo for your sidewalls, is causing the sparks?

hhhmmm..... Is it possible there is minerals/dirt in the bamboo? It's a fast growing grass. When cutting down trees, the lower in the trunc of the tree the more dirt/minerals there are and the chain saw dulls quickly. Just wondering if that's what you could be seeing combined w/ the high speed of the spinning planer blades. Just a thought.
