triaxial fibreglass fibre biases question

Hi guys
Simple question I'm sure.
I have talked to a fibreglass supplier and they can provide 22 ox triax glass in 2 varieties that are biased for warp or weft.
One has 0 degree and +/- 45 degree fibres and the other has 90 degree and +/- 45 degree fibres.
I think the 0, 45/45 type is the best one. 0 provides longitudinal stiffness and +/- 45 provide torsional stiffness.
Is this logic correct? Thanks

the 0, 45/45 has roughly the same amount of fibre in each of the directions (283, 230/230 grams per sq metre)

yep, the 0/+45/-45 is the stuff you want to use.

Correct. Fibers at 90 deg would be completely pointless in a ski and just add weight.

I am in Australia and have found a supplier http://www.colan.com.au/ that can provide 0/45/45 triaxial in 22oz. The roll is 52m long by 1270mm wide and weighs about 50kg. The price is about $9 per kilo ($450 per roll). I think I have calculated this should be enough for 50 pairs of skis. I think that's a pretty good deal.
