Need advice on new ideas

I am making a second pair of skis, my first pair came out great thanks to you guys helping me. Last time I used poplar and cherry for my core and it worked well but I was wondering if u had any suggestions to help memakemy Coe lighter but still work well and I want it to be strong

we've been doing white wood (spruce) with two maple stringers for cores. the white wood is extremely light. but sometimes hard to work with since it cuts and sands so easily. also try searching about bamboo cores.

what psi are you pressing at? the higher the psi, the more resin will be evacuated from the ski and the lighter it will be.

poplar is light, yet surprisingly strong. We have been using a mixture of poplar and ash in our skis and have been happy.
