I had the same problem and simply attached the tipspacers with a short rubber strip (the same as laminated above the edge) and super glue.

Finally, we're done! The single ski press frame is finished. :-D The steel bars are all welded together - no screws so far. There's plenty of space inside for a 205x32x18 cm (WxHxD) mold. As there is lots of different rubber sorts: polyurethane rubber, styrol butadien rubber, latex, silicone rubber,... what's the best to use for dampening my ride and which material bonds best with epoxy?

Ok, if the hex available are not stainless I'll try to find fitting screws here. I'd take 50 for a first. I'm wondering whether you'd want to sell me some other leftovers? I'm especially looking for UHMWPE or ABS sidewalls/tipspacer which I don't seem to find here.
