I thought it was more than just a PID and ssr, especially if your'e running two heat pads.

Simpler Heat Controller
Can you use something like this as a controller for the heat blankets? http://www.instructables.com/id/Precision-Temperature-Controller/ It's way easier and much cheaper to make than the standard issue one's I see most ski builders using, but I'm not sure if it will work for this purpose. Do skis get stiffer with length?
I read that most major ski companies make their skis stiffer for each length of the same ski. For example, a certain K2 ski won´t be as a stiff at 160cm than at 180 cm.
