Just cut out a splitboard that I pressed only to find some serious voids between the sidewall and base material down the center line of the board. Almost seams like air was trapped in the layup. Chimera Snowboards were doing this with their twin tip (the Orb) last year. And it's pretty close to Never Summer's hybrid rocker-camber.

Don't know about skis, but on a board it works well (totally diffeent mechanics, i suppose)...the Never Summer SL is one the greatest boards of all time IMO.

So, is everyone here flame treating the Crown topsheet material themselves, to be safe? I assume you need to do that prior to any silkscreening you may do, as flame treating ink seems a waste of time.

Totally. In fact, you can bend edges with nothing more than a pair or gloves, about $1.24 of washers and a set of dikes for the ends.
