Solid Ash Ski3338 views70-60-63 at 200cm length, fitted with a leather binding based on a traditional Norwegian design. These where built to the customers specifications.

All of the solid wood skis I build are first roughly shaped, steam bent, finished, then oiled with waterlox (a type of danish oil)

Birch Skis3716 viewsMy first pair of solid wooden skis - they where made out of Birch which was a common wood traditionally for solid wood skis, as was Ash and Hickory.

They are fitted with a leather binding that is based on a traditional Norwegian design.

print1060 viewsI did not use a layer of board between the fire-hose and the ski, so the texture of the hose is printed on the ski.
