print cores from snowcad

Post by fergmatt »

This may have been discussed already so if so, I apologize.

I am in the process of designing my first ski. I have done so in Snowcad and I am having a problem printing out the core on my home printer. Does anyone know how to do this?

I would appreciate any help. Thanks

I was able to save a DXF file in snocad then open it in adobe illustrator.

In illustrator you can tile the pages and print full scale.

But I guess you need to own that program to it that way

This thread has a lot of info in it. Not sure what system you are running but it seems that the newer version of Snocad works well with different platforms.

For the record I have only exported a segmented .pdf files. This allows you to print the top view of the ski to scale. I have not tried to print out the profile of the ski yet. I used adobe viewer (free download) to print.

My co-worker owns a large format printer for his side job.

He'd be happy to print full sized templates from .dxf or .pdf files for $5 a shot to cover paper, ink, and a little beer money plus shipping.
