what about rubber tipspacers?

Post by chaka »

I´m planning to use two layers of 1,2 mm of epdm rubber for the tail-tip spacers.
What do you recommend? bonding two layers together before laying up the ski?, maybe I should use a layer of fiberglass between them?

Thanks guys.

just bond them, no fibreglass. works fine. I just made a pair of skis with rubber tips, 1,5mm in the front (supersoft) and two layers of 1,5 (3)mm in the back tip. seems to bond very well. But rubber tipspacers makes it even more important to put rubber strips (vds) between the glass and the edges to prevent delam.
