I am researching silicone heat blankets and was quoted by a company in Australia for one 400x1800mm 2800 watts with thermocouple for $1600.00 AUD which is $1240.00 US. This seems very expensive to me.
Am i right in thinking this is expensive or is this average cost?
Thanks for your help.

I just ordered a 8" x 80" , 1600 W, 120V heating blanket from MEI with 5' J-Thermocouple.
It cost $310 + shipping. Maybe see if you can contact them and I bet it would be much cheaper even with international shipping.

I second MEI, they are very good on their word. They messed up an order of mine and sent me corrected versions for free!

I quoted a few companies. Michaels, Hi-Heat, and Conrad for a 14" X 70". Michaels was the cheapest by over $100. The other two were about the same. i havent received the blanket yet but I hear good things about em on the forums.
