How to make a soft ski?

Post by WilliTheLuck »

Hello, I don't know if this is the right place to post this. I wanted to create my skis but I have 0 knowledge about creating a ski and I would like them to be very soft for park. The only problem here is that I don't know which material I should choose to make the core (thickness, etc). I already have a blueprint for my skis ont SnoCad. Thank you :D .

There are two main factors for controlling the stiffness of your skis - the core thickness and the amount of 0-degree fibers. I would recommend sticking with industry standard triax fabric and only adjusting the core thickness. This has a much more dramatic effect than changing the fiberglass a couple ounces. If you have a pair of sandwich skis you like the stiffness of, you can sometimes estimate the core thickness with a caliper against the sidewall.
