Hey guys

im just about finished building my mold and getting the materials ready for my first build.
i need to figure out what im going to do about a vacuum pump. i saw this one on ebay for super cheap [https://www.ebay.com/p/6032166751?iid=303813866596] is there a general range for how strong of a vacuum is required to press a board? im going to use vacuum film, breather fabric, and vacuum sealant tape to secure it to the aluminum surface, but im not sure how to attach the hose to the film. is it better to have the hose split into two and pull air out from different locations?
thanks in advance!

I would not bother with that one for the money. Might want to consider something like this:

There is a lot of information regarding pumps for vacuum pressing on this site, too much for anyone to give you in a reply. That said, not sure if there is much/any real benefit to pulling air from more than one location, just ensure your location does not become blocked or plugged (breather fabric...) and you should be good.

I've got a vac system I'll sell you for $150. I'll have to go look at what parts I have but there is almost everything there to set up a press system. PM me if you are interested.
