Carbon Stringers where and why?

Post by Gigi »

Hi guys just a technical question:
I'm building my first snowboard and I chose a swallowtail layout quite similar to the jones lone wolf. During the planing of the core I reckon I did the tip a little too thin and I'd like to reinforce the structure with some carbon fiber stripes before the lamination process.
Does someone know where to put some carbon fiber stripes and where to reinforce this kind of swallowtail layout?
Do you have any photo/description of different reinforcement (V frame, A frame, X frame, etc..) and why they should be put in that particular way?

Moonchild Snowboards made their position of the carbon stringers public ( https://www.moonchildsnowboards.com/spa ... ction.html ) just make sure that you put it on both sides of the core!
