Hello, I have a question I am starting to make my first template in mdf to press with vacuum pump, my question is what height to give in the center if I want that at the end has about 5 mm the snowboar table finished, I think once cured tend to fall from the height, I think this topic is in the forum but I can not find it. Thanks

Hi,

Yes, that has been discussed a couple of times in this forum, 'camber' is the magic word ;)

In general, you will get the best results if you use Google for your search and add 'site:skibuilders.com' to the search term e.g. 'camber site:skibuilders.com'

I am thinking that part of the problems to predict the height of the camber once cured is the wood of the core, and if we press first the core moistened the tips with hot water, and leave it for a few days in the mold, the final camber will be more predictable , since we are removing resistance from wood.
