So im about to do layup and my topsheet didn't come with a protective film so i decided to use plastic wrap and packingtape around the edges. I was curious if the plastic wrap would melt when i press it. I would press my skis at 180 degrees farenheit.

I looked at the melting point of it and heard many mixed answers

so shoould i do this or will it make a big melted plastic mess??

Grab a piece, lay it on some thin wood, stick it in the press for an hour at 180ยบ and you will know yourself.

I know I would rather do that than rely on someone guessing for me.

You may get imprints from any wrinkles/folds in the plastic wrap showing up in the topsheet. What about vinyl decal application tape?
