Hey guys,
we bought some raw poplar trees last year.
We did not find somebody willing to dry our wood in his kiln, so we built one in our yard :D

The lumber was drying for the entire summer. Now we have dry poplar in perfect condition for cores (humidity<9%). We want to add some other type of wood in order to increase the number of cores made of this material - may be 2 additional strips of birch for insert retention... we are not sure..

Available kiln dried lumber locally: maple, birch, beech.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Dimitar

Any of the 3 will work just fine. Maple might be the most used out of the 3.

Thanks for the advice. We will keep the things simple. Will go on with full length 100% poplar cores.
