I have forget the VDS too many times not to do it again. Trust me, I've made a checklist!
The only mishaps I have had lately is that some builds gets "mysteriously" stiff...
I will show you the stenciled logo technic. I "stole" it from a YouTube clip I found. Now I have to find the clip... coming up.

Transfer Ink to wood. There are several "tutorials" on YT.

Instead of waxpaper I use transparent.

are you finishing with varnish or epoxy?
If epoxy, does it bond well go the transfer?
I use Grafix transfers for some of my lettering. Nearly invisible if you apply a base coat first, faint ghosting occurs on some darker woods. Bonds well with varnish or epoxy.
