Convex profiling thin strips, how to?

Hi there,

today I've got 80 pieces of Paulownia wood strips 4x40x1800

The idea is to use it as a top layer on my bamboo kite boards. Before I was using a closed cell foam, Corecell or similar, to thicken my boards between straps through the middle.

With this one I'm thinking to profile this strips about 900mm in length, from the middle to the end to only 1mm (or less). So 4mm middle, 1mm both ends, convex profile.

Any ideas how to get the same result on 80 strips (160 since half size each)?

Thanks!

D.

Make a profiling bed and machine sand or plane them. Thats how I do my cores.
Paulownia tends to have a bit of cranky grain and ends up a bit furry in spots. It will need a few coats of poly and sanding to get a smooth finish.
