Vacuum perforated film and peel ply

Hi guys,
I am paying AU$7 per meter for a perforated plastic (release film) and about $4/m for a peel ply.
Getting expensive more and more in here.
Was experimenting with a cellophane as a release film (made a tiny holes). No go. Dissolved.
Tried some sorts of cheaper fabric for a peel ply. That bonded.
Out of options.
Is there anything else one can use which does work?
Thx

Why do you need peel ply and release sheet for skis? No topsheet? If you've got a topsheet you should just need breather.
Nothing's cheap about ski building

I just bought a bunch of peel ply and release film (not for ski building, for some other projects) a couple of weeks ago here in Seattle. I didn't even look at the prices when I bought it at the shop.
I just looked up the prices on their website, $16/yard for the release film and $9/yard for the peel ply. Comes out to like $18/m AU and $10/m AU.
You're not alone

Is a release film and peel ply PE? Would any PE work than anyone knows?

Sounds like you guys are getting more than what you need, or you need to shop around. I pay ~$5/m or less for peel ply and release film, no special deals or connections, and stuff is never cheaper in Canada. I buy the Airtech 'econo' series stuff, but it does the job. I get it through Composites Canada in Mississauga.
Light blue econolease is $5.75/lyd, dark blue superlease is $7.45, both 2oz.
No pricing on their website, but they're quick to answer the phone/emails, and are super helpful in getting the right stuff for the application.

Econolease is the same stuff I'm using... maybe I looked at the wrong prices on the website. I doubt I saved my receipt.

I've gotten release film from Ironbark Composites in Vic for $4/sq.m
