This is something you can do at home and it's easy and cheap. I did it to a couple of guns of mine.

Do a search on ebay for hydrographic film and look at all the different patterns you can get. Price for the film ranges $25-$50 per roll. Tons of info on the internet about it.

wont work for skis BTW. stuff cant bend or it cracks off. I looked at this a few years ago.

On most hydrographic applications there is a clear coat sprayed over it. With that being said why couldn't you put a flex agent in the clear like you do when painting a flexible bumper for a car?
