for me my top layer has the holes. The bottom layer has the gridwork and vac hoses. It didn't make sense to have to recut your gridework every time you you replace the spoil bored.

for me i did it this way just this once,
once i have the top decked too many times, i'll skin it down to the channels and replace a top layer of only holes. :).

Latest update here.

I tackled the whole Dye Sublimation thing. Starting to get good results. Gets better every single time. Not to keen on posting the sub press yet as I handled a bit different as others have in the past but here are some pics.

These are sublimated to Matte PBT. I should have some more coming in tomorrow. I burned up quite a bit of my topsheet stock figuring this out much like the others who have tackled this!

Haha I know what you mean with burning through topsheet...I bought 600m of gloss white PBT when I was given the opportunity to buy it at a really good price! :D

Haha I went through 30M in no time! I started with small pieces then, the tests slowly got larger, eating more material. Then presto! No more material! haha :D

Did some customs last week for a customer. They grew up skiing Cochran's and wanted their logo up top with a wood pattern background.

And some pictures I guess because I haven't really posted in awhile!

Thanks guys!

That bandsaw is BA Falls! Highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade. My 14" ridgid just wasn't cutting it (no pun intended) anymore. Flashing is rather fast now!

The tip rise isn't really that much, I just think the style of tip I use makes it appear so. The rise is only about 6cm from flat. Though I tend to build a slightly higher type which seems to help in tight east coast stuff.

I agree on the tip rise. I like something 5.5-6.5 cm. any lower and I feel it would get under stuff too easily.
