core profiler

Post by zachjowi »

I am very confused as to how making a core profiler like this one will do for me. how do you actually router the shape of the ski you want? Also how large do you make the profile? is the profile the part of the actual ski or is it used as a pattern to router the ski later? Is the profile different than the wood/foam core?

thanks

It allows you to acurrately taper the thickness of the core, thinner at the tips for a nice round flex.

You don't. You make a template out of MDF that has the amount of sidecut and the shape of the tips you want, router your core with the template, then profile the core.

Huh?

The profiled core is the wood/foam core.
