Hope you got some of this Fernie people

There are a couple things about that vid that bother me.
1) dylan siggers in the son of the general manager at the hill.
He gets to go ski closed areas to film promotional vids for fernie alpine resort.

2) The area being skied hasn't been open yet this year.
Our snow pack for the season is only 151cm so far.
I think they opened the "new side" yesterday 'cause there was finally enough snow to cover some of the rocks so you can get down to the bottom.

3) FAR is claiming 92cm in the last 7 days, we did get a pretty good dump day before yesterday 25cm or so. And it has been snowing on and off for the past week so maybe...

FAR, like all ski resorts, like to hype but I can guarantee you nobody got any skiing like that at the resort today.

I'm hoping to get up there tomorrow and I'll let you know.

Bottom line, don't believe the hype.
