Tip/core intersection measures 2.8mm, they dont seem to thick might be the way they look in the pic. I cpied these from another pair I built 3 years ago and they seemed soft in the tip theyre rockered 20cm so instead of 2.4mm tip fill I had, I wanted to stiffen these up slightly so I used 2 pieces of base and it seemed to do an awesome job.
Here's my most recent build 163cm 125-93-115 22oz triax, pbt subbed topsheets I do myself, QCM epoxy. They were for a woman who owns a resturant called the Broken Yolk.
I have an Epson 1400 printer with a sublimation cis ink system I print with onto sublimation paper. I take the top and bottom ski molds out of my press along with heat blankets and cattrack. Then the board stack and the 2 metal plates go into the press cavity, I put 1 heat blanket between one plate and top Ibeam on the press, and air bladder between bottom plate and board stack. I slide paper and pbt and a piece of parchment paper(under pbt so dirt grease etc. doesnt get onto pbt) into the slot between plates press at 60psi and turn heat on till it reaches 275*f turn heat off let it cool then release pressure and pull topsheet out.
