Hi,

I just thought that someplace I read that it was not having best durability....but I might be wrong.

I found this web page on wood species, quite nice ref. to have.

I finally did get some very nice Siberian Larch an a specialized workshop only working with Larch.

They made me a few samples with dimension 1600 x 13 x 10mm and I did a pair of skis last night.

I must say so far I am impressed with the finish ease and look of the wood as a sidewall. It is very easy to work with and cut, and did not change the ski stiffness noticeably compared to what I had before.

The price is also quite good, around 1.5 euro pr meter.

The epoxy seems to stick well to it.

The next is the field test, I dont expect early issues, but will report if any.

I will add it to www.junksupply.com store in case anyone would like to give it a go.
