Yotta - log from France
Hi all,
I'm reading this forum since maybe 2 years, and I first want to thanks everyone here that share some much.
I've started to build my first snowboard this winter. I guess the first one is probably the longest to build, as at every step, you have to build a new tool.
as it wad my first board, I've decided to keep it simple. It means no topsheet, for exemple.
specs are :
Length : 155cm
Raduis : 8.5m
running length : 118cm
width : 25cm
core : full ash : 6.5mm underfoot, 2mm at the tipspacers
fg : triax 850g/m² (I let you convert into non-metric systems)
As it's my first post, I can't add pictures or links. I'll add it later
next build will be skis for my wife. I'll probably need your help on the design, as I don't know much about skis

edit : still can't post a link ... sorry
also, I have to say that you guys here are way too good and I'm here to help new comers not to feel bad. You can have 2 left hands like me, don't know anything about wood, vacuum, expoy and all, and build a board.
well I still don't know how "riddable" it is, and the improvement list is way too long, but I finally build something that looks like a real snowboard

New board, only few shots of the building
just out of the vacuum press
after cutting
some Posca drawing
and with binding not attached, to see the final result
I planed to add a "jolly roger" drawing, but I'm still not sure. Then, I epoxy coat with UV protection, and it's done
with some numbers :
L : 152 cm
W : 25,2 cm
RL : 116 cm
4mm rocker on the last 10cm of the RL, both side (true twintip)
2mm camber (I planned to have a bit more, but it has gone somewhere)
